Everyone better pray

I will. :(

The OL worries me more than anything else. If our O-line doesn't turn out well this season, I think we would be lucky to get 9 or 10 wins.

Well, that's bad news. I guess that it's going to be Douglas or Smith now...at least until Ligon can get better.

I'm not 67, but....

"Richie Gandy hurt his knee a little bit and I hope it's just a little bit. The doctor will be in to look at it but obviously he's going to be limited for awhile."

The senior center is vying for a starting role less than six months after undergoing surgery to repair a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee.

"It's the same knee, but it might just be scar tissue," Fulmer said. "Somebody fell on the back of his leg. Richie's done a really good job for us and I'm hoping like heck he's going to be able to get back."

Still nothing, that report from UTsports could mean anything from scar tissue to ACL and a very hopeful coach that its the former. Remember it says the Doctor hasn't looked at it when they printed that article

Yes I am sure we will be fine, but I hope Gandy makes a quick recovery and is back on the field before too long. Thanks for the info Vol67 and Beltway.

Well, I've had an ACL done and it feels really weird to get back playing and 6 months is fast. I know I wasn't at that level, but there is quite a bit of popping of scar tissue and twinges when going full speed. It can be pretty scary, at least it was to me. I hope that's all it is. :cross:

Thats what im praying for. Im dealing with a mess of scar tissue right now. Its a new thing to me and very hard to explain, feels sometimes like muscle or tendons just tearing.
I cant question the UT medical staff nor the coaching staff.
But with Ligon back down, Im not sure id have let Gandy push himself that hard. The center is like the QB of the O-line.
When the QB checks off, The center has to know and relay that when blocking assignments have changed. Any news on Ligons status?

Anyone hear anything about how the true freshmen prospect at center from Mississippi is working out? It looks like we need him, at a minimum, as a back-up....

Well, Gandy isn't going to back for 2 to 3 weeks at the very least.

Looks like Douglas is going to get some work at Center and Ramon Foster is going to step up on the line. From what I have read on Foster, I don't think it's going to be that big of a deal. Then again, I haven't really seen him action. So who has and what's he looking like?

Well, like Vol67 said, he's getting the MRI today. So depending on that, he could be out longer than 2 to 3 weeks.

Good News on Gandy, sort of.

He injured his kneecap and will be out only the first game
