Just because of the way that Hopson played. It just pisses me off that he plays like this, and next game (sat) he'll probably act like he's never played the game before.. Why can he not do this every game.

In all fairness, playing great against LSU doesn't translate into showing he can play in the NBA. It is LSU.

You hit the nail on the head with that one :bash: The only thing Scotty Hopson has proved this year is that his is horribly inconsistent and although he has had flashes of brilliance, he can't be relied upon to be our #1 scoring option or our team leader. Too bad, could have been something special if he had half the heart of a Lofton or Weezy.

OP, I know what you're saying. Now is the time for something to change with Scotty, if it does. We'll probably have a better idea on Saturday.

What is weird is that Scotty finally played good against a bad team....Usually the other way around

The kid played great tonight and you're preemptively complaining about his next game? How about you just appreciate this one before you slam a kid 3 days before the next game?

This thread is really awful. I would say that this is a prime example of a kid who cannot win with a certain bunch of folks.

I was actually thrilled to see SH play like a man amongst boys tonight...very different from his effort against the weaker teams earlier in the year. Maybe, just maybe, the light has flipped on for him.

It's an example of what happens when a kid is overhyped. He is what he is. All parties should realize that by now. There are no turn the corner games.

Whether anyone here wants to admit it or accept it, he has carried this team this year. He's had a few bad games but who doesn't. Without his offense this team would really be hurting.

The problem with Hopson is he doesn't get a clean slate with people. They judge him on his ranking coming out of high school instead of appreciating him for what he's done. It's unfair to him.

Cut the guy some slack. I doubt anyone here could play any better. Fact is, he is playing for us and complaining will not change his game. Not everyone is MJ BTW... Just take what we got and support the team, because I guarantee you they aren't playing to lose. I wonder how many recruits/prospects our fans run off with this kind of trash talk
