Ethan Davis

Ethan Davis is healthy now. He has potential to be one of our better receiving tight ends in recent history. He's going to be a problem for people next year with his size, athleticism, and grasp of the game.
Came on here to mention him. He is what I thought he would be when he first committed. GBO and go Ethan Davis.

With Joey, the big 3 in the WR room and the tight end depth, I feel like we run the ball way too much. I like Bishop and the backs but none are a Dylan Sampson type yet. But I get it last night that Fla just played two high safeties all night and forced us to run it a bunch.

It's good to see Davis healthy. He's been behind McCastles and Kitz on the depth chart, and he has shown flashes over the past three years but the nagging injury bug has been his nemesis since he's been here. I hope he stays around. He's an asset to the team for sure.
Davis, by media accounts, bleeds orange and has never thought about the portal.

Ethan Davis will be a big weapon next year. Bramme is going to be a very good one too. Did you notice that one catch Bramme made on the low throw on the screen pass? He was on a run and somehow managed to bend and catch the ball all while continuing to streak down the field. We need to keep them 2 healthy and they continue to develop. Davis has looked super once he was inserted into the lineup. He is a great guy as well. GBO

He looks like a million bucks. JVD is going to be a monster with a full offseason under his belt as well. Then if Brame pans out at all? Shoo-wee that's a nice TE room.

Very impressive ball skills and speed. If he can get better at blocking he could possibly be a bowers type impact. Yes I know that’s a big comparison. He’s got the speed and appears to be a WR1 type TE. He’s just gotta get better at protection.
Yes, on that slip screen he really showcased his speed. Florida defenders appeared to have angles on him and he just flew right by. He has impressed me since he has finally gotten healthy. Yes, he does need to continue improving his blocking but he no doubt has the potential to be a very dangerous weapon. GBO

I have no clue why no one is talking about it. But #3 Van Dorsalear (sp?) had another awesome game last night. The staff obviously trusts him as a true freshman and have used him in many critical plays at critical times over the season. He laid the wood to somebody blocking last night one play I remember seeing. He was the blocker in overtime on the road versus MSU that sprung the touchdown. He is very athletic and has apparently picked up the blocking schemes and plays very well. Our tight end room is in very good hands right now

Yes the Vol tight ends are collectively a Problem! Davis has special skills. Another young guy - Brahme looks like a matchup issue along with Jack. The more you see of the younger players it is evident the high quality squad being developed.
