But we have been dropping passes, dropped a TD in 3 games so far. If they force Dobbs to go pass happy that increases the likelyhood that we'll drop more passes. My point is you can't just say "well if we don't drop passes" when this team has shown a trend of dropping a lot of passes
His completion percentage this year is 57.9%, which is the lowest of his career. He has 6 INTs, which is tied for the most of any of his season totals. I don't have the count, but he has fumbled the ball a number of times. His adjusted quarterback rating for the year is the lowest vs any of his prior years.
On the positive side, he is a leader and makes things happen. I have been outspoken against Dobbs in the past, but his ability to keep fighting, stay calm, and just flat-out win games has been unreal this season. He will never be a great passer, but he has leadership skills and play-making skills possessed by few others.
I agree that forcing us to throw the ball often is a key to winning against us. If a defense crowds the box, consistently brings pressure, and avoids the long TD play, then they can limit our production. However, they better play until the very last second of the game. Our guys never quit and I think that surprises a lot of teams.

Well I'm sorry, but if Dobbs has to throw all game I don't like our chances , yes he has made some good throws ,but also has 6 ints and could have been 9 very easily. He is not as accurate as some on here make him out to be. His legs is the key to him .
ugh ,1 int wasn't on Dobbs, the other late , behind, under & overthrow are on him. He is a senior QB,not a freshman and the SEC has freshman QB's throwing the ball way more accurate and way better. He is our QB and I pull for him , but I'm not blind and can see his strength sure isn't passing!3 of those INTs hit our receiver in the hands so thats not on dobbs. And a 4th INT was when his arm got hit against Florida as he let it go. So now to blame dobbs for bad passes your down to 2. He has thrown 13 TDs.
Trevor knight has thrown 7 TDs and 3 INTs.
