50 days to football's national signing day - ESPN

Biggest Recruiting Wins:

38. Tennessee commit Josh Malone (Gallatin, Tenn./Station Camp High): The Vols keeping No. 48-overall Malone home was a huge win, considering Georgia, Clemson and Florida State made serious runs. Tennessee completed a near clean sweep of in-state must have prospects for Butch Jones and staff.

Top Uncommitted 5 stars:

32. No. 7 Adoree' Jackson (Gardena, Calif./Junipero Serra High): Jackson's recruitment could go in a number of directions with USC, Florida State, Oklahoma, LSU, Florida, Tennessee and UCLA fighting for the elite athlete.

Key Conference Battles:

21. Derrell Scott (Havelock, N.C./Havelock High): The one-time lock to head to South Carolina now has Tennessee very much in the picture in this SEC East showdown.

Class Rankings Predictions:

3. Tennessee: The Vols have a huge class that includes 11 ESPN 300 members.

Man, I sure hope we can keep this incoming class together. Of course Jackson and Scott would be welcomed additions!:pepper:

Scott is a silent commit to keep Hurd and Paulk onboard. IMO

Adoree Jackson will come to Knoxville because he can start as a true freshman and be drafted after Junior season. Probably a lot harder at the other schools. With Cam on other side and upgraded LB, Safety (TK, Berry Power, etc), he will get lots of opportunities for INTs as they have to throw it somewhere!

#3 is the bottom for us in recruiting, I think #1 is very doable!

Volnation could use your optimism in the Lambert thread.

Nah.

Jackson I think will be a tough pull but I think this staff can do it.

Bama is solidified there IMHO. Doesn't matter as long as we keep recruiting in the top five to ten and develop talent we will be very competitive.

Sorry fellow VFL from Huntland, which is also my home town, but Scott is not a silent, in order to keep Hurd and Paulk on board. They are on board no matter what. They know we are after a 3rd RB.

This has to be one of the best off seasons with recruiting that UT has had in nearly 1o years. It is very entertaining for sure.

Hurd and Paulk are solid. They're not going anywhere.

No recruiting guru but from all I've read Jackson is really down to USC/UT. He feels the lure of LA while his parents want him closer to home.

I just hope Butch is better at evaluating and developing talent than his predecessors so we don't look back at this class and wonder what could have been. Sorry for being cynical, but, you know, Dooley.

Because we don't control anything and it's not going to do any of us any good to freak out. I mean I hope we get the kid, he's been committed to us, but we'll know tomorrow.

What's up with Lambert? Sorry haven't been on VN in a while so I'm out of the loop.

How are you guys not freaking about Lambert. We can't lose him!

Why freak out? It's his decision, we can't control it. He is gonna do what he thinks is best for him, as every man should. Freaking out won't make or break his decision, it'll only cause "adults" to worry about a 20 year old kid they have never met and judge his actions for choosing the school he prefers.

Lambert keeps repeating he is solid to UT, but he is getting tired of hearing that he is not solid. People need to leave these recruits alone or the recruits need to toughen up. Social media is turning out to be not such a good thing.

Cause he kept posting on twitter he was all vol and couldn't wait to get started hear. The only reason auburn is considered a threat is because of bad writers making stories up for publicity. i.e. Gruden, saban's wife in texas blah blah. Just good ole fashioned drama

I'm just hoping like hell that we hold on to Lambert tomorrow. Does anybody know what time he is going to announce?

Agreed..Long as we can stay top 7-10 we will be competing and winning. Just have to stay consistent and not lose guys like the previous staff did, but don't see that being a problem. They are recruiting not only great players, but good character guys and good students, all essential to winning. Butch gets it!
