Their take on Al Davis and Lane Kiffin gives me another reason to watch Mike and Mike.

i have more respect for the comments of a retarded pygmy goat than i do anything that comes out of the mouth of those guys.

Those First Take dudes just blasted us on the Kiffin pick...

I could give two sh$ts what skip bayless has to say about our pick. He is also the one that thinks CBP is obnoxious and an ass. I dont know who said something but im pretty sure he didn't have anything good to say about us. CLK all I need to say!!!!!

what was their take?

It wasn't as much what they said, as it was what they didn't say.

For a show that railroaded Al Davis everyday when Kiffin was ousted, they pretty much changed their minds to make an anti-Kiffin stance.

Then we should be good... Since when do the self titled "experts" ever get things right? That's why they are on tv "talking" about it instead of out "doing" it. It brings me to the old expressiong, "Those that can, do. Those that cannot, teach." I think that is very appropriate for those clowns on 1st Take.

I was thinking that the people on this board are closer to that situation than either of those homers are. I guarantee you I've spent more time gathering info about the coaching change than those 2 could even think of.

A perfect example of the lack of talent on 1st take.

nothing about anything but pro football--and he's not even very insightful about that. He's got a big voice and a bit of a big personality--but he's not smart and has nothing interesting to say most of the time. They have become a bit of a cheap act--the former pro football player and the metrosexual host. The guy on Fox in the morning--Steve Zapel (sp)--is much better, which is odd because I so hate Fox News.

:)

One of those '2 live Stews' guys said he didn't even know how a guy like Kiffin even got considered for a job like Tennessee...

Well they said the same thing on their national show yesterday, saying this was nothing more than the "good ole boy network at it again". Same old retreads, I was thinking this guy is 33 friggin years old, how can he be a retread.

we've been getting killed locally here in Charlotte the past two days as well.

the reaction has been more or less "WTF? Really?"

if it makes you feel any better, there's a similar sentiment regarding Dabo at Clemson as well.........

this racial issue has been brought up since Saturday.
Spencer Tillman asserted that Charlie Strong was more qualified for this job than Lane Kiffin and that he didn't get an opportunity to go thru the process at TN was wrong.

i've since heard it several more times.

i think it's garbage obviously, but for anyone that didn't think this was a high profile job, i think you now have your answer.

if people didn't care or think it wasn't newsworthy, no one would talk about it at all.

it comes with the territory.......and it won't go away until we win something.

I really dont care what the guys on first and 10 think. They probably think we should still have fulmer. They would probably say that pat summit is overrated.
I will base my opinions on the coaches actions not what some guys on espn think.

Charlie Strong will not take interviews as favors. He'll only do interviews where he feels he has a chance to be the head coach, not just to meet a quota.

Turner Gill, supposedly, got a phone call.
