On ESPN college football daily Todd Maddox says this is a statement game for stoops. Says that TN better look out because "Stoops will hang 100 on them if he gets a chance."

Man I hope we come out swinging and give them a fight. I'm tired of hearing how my vols are going to get steamrolled!

he also said we had a good defense that was better than most give credit for. Then said they will hang 100 if they can but it will be harder than they think it will be. hmmm Profound analysis there.

I'm shocked ESPN isn't saying UT would score 100 points on OU because SEC! SEC! SEC!

OU won't score 100 points. I doubt they even score half of that. It's going to be a good game between 2 storied programs. There's no need by anyone to disrespect either team. At least they had the **lls to schedule each other when teams like Baylor are scheduling low tier FCS schools.

Besides, ESPN said Bama would beat OU by 20+ in the Sugar Bowl. Look how that turned out for them.

Everyone knows how games play out where everybody is predicting the same thing.

All I've heard from everybody is that we're gonna get blown out.

Well we're not the team that went to Oregon last year, and they sure as heck aren't Oregon.

Todd McShay also said that RG3 was durable and that Jimmy Clasuen was a franchise QB... That lost their edge when Beno Cook died and they lost Gary "I piss" off balconies Miller

Not going to happen! Against current SEC schools in Norman, Stoops is 12-0, but has only out scored them 531-194, an avg of 44-16. Will be closer to this than 100.

Now I don't think Stoops is that big of a jerk but his hatred for the SEC (where he used to coach) is pretty bad. I do think he would like to blow out the Vols in an embarassing way but any coach who actually tried to drop a benjamin on any team just to prove a point will come off looking like the biggest a-hole ever

I have no problem with what he said, it is the truth. IF Stoops can he will score as many points as he can against an SEC team. IF is a very powerful word in the English language.

If Oregon didn't hang 100 on Dooley, Stoops won't hang 100 on Butch.

Though Stoops' inferiority complex might make him try.

Very misleading thread title.

I have the full quote in the op. Do you expect the full quote in the thread title also????

The point of the thread is I'm tired of the debate being how badly do we get stomped v whether we win the game. I hope we give them a run for their money like we did with UGA last season so we can change the debate for these games!

Oregon let off the gas before the end of the first half. They had so much pity on UT and Dooley that they didnt have the heart to continue to pound us.

That's because
ESPN hates us > ESPN loves SEC

If you're saying that Oregon and Kelly had class and Oklahoma and Stoops have none, then we agree. Stoops won't let up; he'll run up the score if we let him.
