SEC predictions, including LSU Tigers-Alabama Crimson Tide clash - ESPN

Low: Tennessee has proven to be a much better team at home this season, and it will also help freshman quarterback Joshua Dobbs to get back in front of the home fans as he makes his second start. The Vols will keep it close but won’t be able to stop the Tigers’ running game. … Auburn 34, Tennessee 24

Aschoff: Auburn is one of the country's hottest teams, while Tennessee is trying to find its footing during the first season of the Butch Jones era. The Tigers won't be intimidated by their surroundings inside Neyland Stadium, and running back Tre Mason should have another big day on the ground. … Auburn 34, Tennessee 20

Can't really say either of those are inaccurate descriptions.

I think the vols defense will have to step up for the vols to win.

Offensively I think the vols will have a decent game.

Seems accurate to me. We will have to be + in the turnover game to have a chance to win.

I'm just glad its a home gm. That may give us a little edge we seem to play a lot better at home.

Our secondary can't have busted assignments and they have to be sure tacklers.

If we can eliminate our own turnovers and win the field position battle, we could be in it late and maybe catch lightning in a bottle again.

Personally, I think it would be a bigger victory than the SC game. Not just because of the ranking either, I think Auburn is better than SC.

For UT to have chance our D has to stop the run. Or at least slow it down. Mason and Marshall very well could have career rushing days against our D.

I don't like the match up of their offense versus our defensive coaching staff at all.

Three experts on CBS Sports pick us to beat the spread.

Expert Picks - Against the Spread - Week 11 - CBSSports.com

Interesting. I expect a close one.

Two out of the three also predicted us to beat Oregon.

Not putting a lot of faith in their predictions.

On the ESPN article, for Aschoff, it's actually fairly unbiased for a change. And fairly on point save the fact ANYONE going into Neyland will be in for a rude awakening if the fans are into it.

They're not predicting us to beat Auburn. Just cover the spread.

2 out of 7 predicted we would lose to Oregon by 25 or less. Probably assumed we could run the ball enough to keep the score down? They all picked the Ducks to win.

Not saying that makes their predictions more valid. Just interesting how people view these games.

If we can tackle, we'll be in the game.
We have more missed tackles than can be counted!

SOUTH CAROLINA at TENNESSEE

Low: The Gamecocks hadn’t been able to finish anybody until last week when they clobbered Arkansas on the road. They go back on the road this week and are playing as well as they ever have offensively under Steve Spurrier. The Vols won’t be able to score enough points to keep up in this game. … South Carolina 34, Tennessee 21

Aschoff: And just like that, South Carolina is a real contender in the SEC East again. Tennessee should have some sort of momentum to feed off of after a close loss to Georgia, but the Gamecocks just have too much talent on both sides of the ball. ... South Carolina 34, Tennessee 20

See any resemblance??

Copy and paste journalism.

the only problem is our offense is also copy and paste.

"3 and out 3 and out 3 and out 3 and out 3 and out 3 and out 3 and out 3 and out 3 and out 3 and out 3 and out 3 and out 3 and out 3 and out 3 and out 3 and out 3 and out 3 and out 3 and out 3 and out 3 and out 3 and out 3 and out 3 and out 3 and out 3 and out 3 and out 3 and out 3 and out 3 and out 3 and out 3 and out 3 and out 3 and out 3 and out 3 and out 3 and out 3 and out 3 and out 3 and out"

Haha fair enough. Auburn hasn't done much to convince me that they'll smoke us in our place...aside from beat Texas A&M (and that game would have gone differently if Manziel hadn't been hurt).

I'm sorry did you say 3 and out?. We have to be able to rush the ball and keep our D off of the field. I hope Dobbs rushes about 15 times to open things for Neal and Lane.

Auburn has exactly as many impressive wins as we so.

They're overrated and beatable if the Tennessee we've seen at home shows up this weekend
