This has the makings of a classic choke job written all over it.

My statement, or the QB? If Woodson proves me wrong, I'll readily admit it. From what I have seen, however, I fully expect him to be the second best quarterback on the field in the UofL game.

I really do wish that Brohm had won the honor, so he can be deflated on September 15th.

Congrats to Andre, who is a hard worker, and is very deserving given his surrounding cast. Instead of sour grapes, some of you guys should be happy for the SEC.

Sorry but I'm not cheering or wishing for the best for our rivals.

Why does thinking Brohm is better than Woodson constitute sour grapes? I simply think this guy

ESPN - Brian Brohm Stats, News, Photos - Louisville Cardinals - NCAA College Football

is better than this guy

ESPN - Andre' Woodson Stats, News, Photos - Kentucky Wildcats - NCAA College Football.

Seems like a fairly logical conclusion to me.

Based on those stats it seems pretty clear:crazy:

It´s hard to compare the two over the last three years, because 2 of those years, UK was on probation, and had no depth to speak of. Last year was Woodson´s only year, really, to prove himself. 31 TDs, 7 INT, 3500 plus yards is hard to ignore.

There's no way that any of you can prove to me that Brohm has faced the level of competition in the Big Least that Woodson has in the SEC. Anybody can put up huge numbers in that conference. It's just not equal. I would submit that Brohm would have less stellar stats if he played in the SEC.

This year, UK plays 6 teams in the preseason top 20. Louisville? 2. UK plays 5 teams in the preseason top 15. Louisville? 1.

It´s kinda cool that the top 2 are from Kentucky, though.

Proof is, I suppose, what you want it to be. Woodson put up his share of big numbers against some lesser teams, too, and had his share of stat padding in either blowout losses or blowout wins against directional schools.

The deciding factor for me is that Brohm has done it for 3 straight years, while Woodson came off of a much more average season in '05 to have a big year in '06. I'd like to see Woodson, and the Cat offense as a whole, show that it wasn't a perfect storm of schedule and fortuitous bounces before I am willing to crown them as tops in the conference, much less the nation.
