Were you in the group of fans wearing orange they showed on tv drunking beer?

Haha ... no, but I think that was Childress' family. They somehow got a "luxury" box.

I thought that was pretty strange, actually. I'd be pretty pissed if some player's family from an opposing team was able to secure one of our brand spanking new boxes at TBA. Can you imagine last year if we had those boxes and during the Florida game you looked up to find none other than Yannick Noah and the rest of the Noah family chilling out in one of our boxes -- with a big Gator banner hanging off the side??

Haha ... I know "money talks," but I hope we have some sort of luxury box police :)

They are from here. Probably were able to get a hookup

Yeah, I knew they were from there.

While at the game, it occurred to me we have quite the Cincinnati connection going. Childress from Moeller. Tabb and B-dub from Harmony Prep.

Im doing a pretty good job of getting them down there aren't I? :)

I like Gottlieb's rankings because he's actually taking some less-perceived squads, but Houston seriously has beaten nobody.

Nice call on UNC at number 3. Anyone in the top ten would be undefeated with UNC's schedule. Memphis and Kansas have signature wins.

Shocker he didn't get called for traveling, though -- especially after Wayne did when he dove for the ball a few minutes earlier. I almost lost my mind when the ref made that call.

Man, that was SUCH a fun game to attend ... good times :)

I'd have to see it again, but when he first got to the ball, he didn't have control of it. It bounced off the floor again. Maybe that's how he avoided the whistle. And, yessir, it was a great game to attend!

Gottlieb's probably about right to date. We have won games and shown some good individual performances, but I can't think of any aspect of our team game right now that screams top 10 (maybe turnover creation). Our shooting (FT and otherwise) has been marginal, our rebounding is nearly embarrassing, our halfcourt D has been lamented long and loud here and our PG play needs to begin moving forward. We should see a strong upward trend for this team, but today, this squad needs a heap of improvement.

For the record, I think we'll get there because the talent level is top drawer. I think this team needs to begin focusing on the things that breed consistent winning and we'll see a remarkably different style of game.

I think the Vols lack rhythm and cohesion. It still seems that the abundance of depth is, in a way, hurting the Vols.

Not a single UT player ranks among the top 30 in the SEC in minutes played. That's amazing...and it shows just how deep the Vols can go on their bench....but, I think that's hurt the Vols ability to create the kind of synergy that they've had when they've had smaller rotations.

Lofton will be fine. It is our half court defense and rebounding that keeps us from looking like a top 10 squad at times. No question the rotation works in our favor in the 2nd half with fresher legs in the game. It will continue to become more of a factor as the season progresses. I look for us to keep improving. CP won't settle for less.

are the fresh legs going to address the PG position and lack of focus (and ability for some) on D?
