ESPN may pay SEC $50-$80 mill more per year if it adds 9th conference game

Well, it's a tradeoff, do you want 1 Rivalry Game (Vandy) or do you want three rivalry games (Vandy, Kentucky, Alabama)?

The good news for us is we have 2 very winnable Rivalry Games. Bama will probably get Auburn, Tennessee and LSU. Texas will get aTm, Oklahoma and Arky. Georgia will get Auburn, Florida and perhaps SCAR.

There’s this train of thought that the only way to have 3 rivalries is to have 9 games. We can have 4 rivalries and only see the others every 6 or 8 years and as a long time season ticket holder I’d be good with that. Its been decades since we played Texas or OK and I don’t really miss playing Mizzou, Miss St, Ark, or even LSU or Ole Miss

Gosh awful idea. The SEC beats up itself. You cannot bring it every week unless you have Texas/Georgia sized 4-5 star rosters 2-3 deep. Even Saban wanted several cupcakes sprinkled into the calendar.
This will mean more injuries, the rich getting richer and less SEC representation in the CFP.
