Stuart Scott, Mike Greenberg and Mike Golic are doing straight faced analysis in a remote from the National Spelling Bee. :wacko:

How is that any worse than treating a hot dog eating contest as a sport?

ESPN jumped the Shark years ago.

Remember Sumo wrestling?

What about Worlds strongest man.

And not to mention they actually give like 10 minutes every night to Arena football.

Worst is hearing (can't remember his name, but i want to stab myself in the brain when i hear..."And herrrrrreeeeeees the flop" when he goes on and on about the stamina professional poker players need to play in these events, after all, they need to make quick mathematically based decisions, and sit on their asses for hours on end. Don't get me wrong, i like a game of holdem or 7 stud on the weekend, but who really watches this crap?

It's just stupid for them to dedicate their time to poker the way to do. And it's not only them, but a lot of other networks do it as well. I don't know what the big deal about poker is

They're also gonna start televising the National Paper, Rock, Scissors Tourney.

Honestly, how in shape do you have to be to compete?

And, that game is not about talent, its whether you get lucky or not.

All I can say about that is wow. They're actually showing that or is this a joke.

How about the fact that they are force feeding Arena Football? Come on, Sports Giant. What's next, the International Ping Pong Championships?

Bad news . . . I checked the bylaws and the rules say that you actually have to have cable before you are allowed to rip ESPN? :p

Poker=Ratings. Ratings=$$$$. It's a simple formula.

I have a cable. It runs between my VCR and the back of my TV!

You missed Section 2a to the aforementioned by-laws where it clearly states:

"Any person who has a paid membership to a gym that has cable gives that individual the right to voice an opinion about cable; however they cannot place a vote regarding cable in a poll on an internet message board."

See, I am clearly within my bounds on this one.:p
