Espn published their final SP+ rankings. (It's an ESPN+ article which means that, yes, I am one of those stupid enough to pay for ESPN content). Here's top 10:

1. Georgia
2. Ohio State
3. Alabama
4. Michigan
5. Cincinnati
6. A&M
7. Wisconsin
8. Clemson
9. Pittsburgh
10. Tennessee.

Others:

23. Kentucky
30 Florida
35. Purdue
66. South Carolina
122. Vanderbilt

Wasn't familiar with the term SP+.

What is SP+? In a single sentence, it's a tempo- and opponent-adjusted measure of college football efficiency. I created the system at Football Outsiders in 2008, and as my experience with both college football and its stats has grown, I have made quite a few tweaks to the system.

It is, as always, important to note that SP+ is intended to be predictive and forward-facing. It is not a résumé ranking that gives credit for big wins or particularly brave scheduling -- no good predictive system is. It is simply a measure of the most sustainable and predictable aspects of football. If you're lucky or unimpressive in a win, your rating will probably fall. If you're strong and unlucky in a loss, it will probably rise. It is a look at how teams should likely perform moving forward.

#10? LOL

FPI (football power index) has us at 26, just behind Purdue.
That seems more results based and a fair measure of success.
SP+ seems more like one guys opinion based on play by play stats.
Maybe SP+ means that if we played the whole season again, he would expect some of the close losses to be wins and we'd be ranked higher.

Now that you understand what SP+ is where should we be?

Well if this silly SP+ is an indicator of how strong we looked while being "unlucky" vs. Pitt, Bama, Ole Miss, and Purdue then I might agree that #10 on this completely useless rating system might be warranted, purely for theoretical reasons.
