As of right now Tennessee has no games on ESPN or ESPN2 for the 2005 football season. Last year the season opener was televised by ESPN. Who will televise the opener this year?

Thats because CBS gets first pick of which SEC they want to televise. As far as the UAB game goes, I would say it might be a PPV but since they went to a bowl game and have a pretty wide open offense, the game will either end up on JP possibly because they will cover an OOC if there is no SEC game for an opener or possibly ESPN will pick it up. Do you have a link of the televised games for ESPN?

There is a 2006 schedule on espn.com/collegefootball showing all of the scheduled televised games as of right now. South Carolina and Spurrier open the season Thursday September 1st.

Its hard to even wonder whats going to be on and what time.

Last years opener was picked up late by espn, then it conflicted with the fireworks on the river that same sat night, so it was moved to sunday opener and moved to espn2 i think. I doubt anything is set in stone until the week of the game's.

The last one I can remember that wasn't televised was Peyton Manning's Sophmore year. I think it was against East Carolina.

Pretty sad that I can remember watching a game on PPV in a sports bar 10 years ago.
