I expected Palmer to disagree with it. Glad to see Herbstreit see what we see, but he was even wrong when he said our last BCS bowl was in 2001. It was in 1999.

Thanks for the reminder. You are really on top of it today. :salute:

:hi:

holtz isn't on right now.

palmer acted surprised and dismayed at the decision, saying they shouldn't have done it. he also suggested that tennessee has no talent especially on the offensive side of the ball.

creer hasn't even gotten a ton of playing against good competition. anyway, of course creer or anybody else except eric berry haven't "looked good." isn't that the reason fulmer was let go today...the supposed talent on the field isn't showing up?

Many reasons, but the result/decision is the same.

... and I don't have the money for a DVD player, much less a TiVo. So some summary of Herbie would be nice.

There is one name that has not been mentioned yet and I think it gives us everything we are looking for in a coach

JIM HARBAUGH
Stanford Head Coach

1) He took over at San Deigo State who pretty much sucked and did the following in just three years:

7-4
11-1
11-1

2) What does he do once he gets to Stanford, pick a fight with Pete Carroll. And it worked, his team was a 42 point underdog at USC and won. The point I am trying to make is that not only is he a solid coach, but he is not intimidated by big name blow hards so he would do fine against Myer and Saban.

3) He went 4-8 in his first year at Stanford but has them at 4-3 right now. So in just two years, he has the bottom dweller of the Pac 10 over .500 with a win over the great Pete Carroll.

4) He is a student of the game and his football knowlege is high.

5) He is young and marketable, recruits love that.

6) He has established recruiting pipelines into CA and the West Coast.

7) He has ties to the NFL, his brother Jay is the Head Coach of the Balitmore Ravens, recruits love that.

Folks, this seems like a slam dunk and h is from Ohio, his dad coached at WKU and his brother in-law is Tom Creen @ Indiana. This gives him a chance to be closer to home. Spread the word, Dagreek has found the new ball coach.:clapping:

Before the furd harbaugh coached at USD not san diego state. USD doesn't even offer football scholorships. I'm not sure what type of recruiting pipeline he has in CA really. Stanford recruits itself in a way. Usually if a player can get in, he will be highly interested. You'll notice the furd doesnt' go after most of hte players that SC, Oregon, or Cal go after.

The Toreros - ask Georgetown about 'em!

My sister used to teach there. Pretty campus but definitely not a sports school.
