A tight shot of Nick Stephens. Why wasn't he brought in after half time?
Spurrier, Miles, Meyer--all would've pulled Crompton after three 1st half TO'S, but not Kiffin. WTF?
Lane's grace period is officially over. After watching Crompton's ineptness all last year, I knew his performance against WKU had to be bogus; but I hoped Clawson was the man to blame...
Unfortunately, I had to sit through 4 MORE quarters today of worm burners and bad reads before I remembered the real problem is Crompton, undoubtedly the worst UT QB in my lifetime.
JC's NEVER gonna be a winning college quarterback, no matter what happens from here on out, and Kiffin SHOULD HAVE KNOWN THIS! Lane's seen more than enough of JC this spring/summer/fall/(and last year's tape) to know this kid is nothing but a liability in the clutch. Lane should have been more than ready to yank him!
He didn't, and my frustration today was eerily similar to the frustration I've felt with Fulmer for the past 5-10 years. I thought Kiffin was an upgrade from Fulmer's stoic, "let's watch the film", "get 'em next year!" approach. I thought he'd be a coach who would make the obvious adjustments to win, or at least try to win, games.
Instead, today felt a helluva lot like last year.
