I agree. In past years I have always wanted the best matchup possible in terms of playing and beating a top opponent.

This year, I think it's crucial we actually win the bowl. I don't think we can beat either Michigan or the Peds. Indiana or Iowa are nice matchups. Decent names, and a more likely win.

Next year, when we go 9-3 regular season, I'll be back to wanting the toughest opponent possible for the bowl.

Reality. Neither PSU, UM or IU would be good matchups for us. And of the three, IU likely would be the toughest.

No offense to Iowa, but that’s the least exciting BIG opponent we could draw imo. I would much rather play Penn State or Michigan, even if we are a little outmatched.
