So, Outside the Lines films Lane speaking with recruits and then broadcasts it, pointing out in may be a violation. ESPN gave free tours to UCONN women bb recruits, another violation. May question would be, if ESPN enters in major NCAA and SEC contracts, why are they not required to follow the rules? If the rules are really their to promote fairness and to protect HS atheletes, are those concerns trumped once cash has changed hands?
On a different note, I don't think ESPN is out to hurt UT. I think they realized that are team is in a slump, so by jacking up contoversy around the program and new coach, hopefully more non-UT fans will tune in this year to the ESPN broadcasts of SEC/UT games.

Is it crazy to think there might be a prearranged handshake deal between Kiffin and ESPN?
ESPN: You give us something to talk about. We'll give your program all the press in the world thus boosting your recruiting class.
CLK: Deal.

I say this because ESPN is now reporting pure hearsay. Does anyone have proof of him taking off his shirt or saying the gas pumping comment? It seems like LK could have a lawsuit against them if it weren't biting the hand that feeds.

No, and to the point, there is more proof to support the fact that he DIDNT do either one, but that doesnt sell newspapers now does it?

I've been fascinated for quite a while by the fact that so many posters on this board consistently use the verb "are" rather than the word "our". Is it possible that all of these posters are the same person? I've never seen this type of consistent error anywhere other than on this board, and I find it hard to believe that there could be a significant concentration of people on this one board that don't know the word "our".
