The talking heads are just building up the hype, you have to remember they have invested alot of money into the SEC. Given that anything they can do to create viewer participation they are going to do.
The ESPN analysts are just stirring the pot. We'll see come September.
In any event, it's a whole lot easier to coach up premier talent, so I'll take coaches who can recruit! Top talent could make any set of coaches look good.
Reaves may be a favor to his father-in-law but seems odd that Spurrier would have kept him around if he couldn't coach. The others have been cashing big time paychecks for awhile so again you don't see programs like Alabama carry dead wood.
However, I'll take great talent over great scheme if I can only have one. I remember days when we had so much talent that we could tell the other team the play and they still couldn't stop us. Pounded UGA one year with Little Man for 8 or 9 straight running plays. Carl Pickens/Dale Carter et al could be out of position and still make the play on athletic ability alone.
ESPN have Analysts tha speak their own personal opinions. It's all Opionionated. Who cares what an outsider that knows nothing about our coaches has to say about them. The Vols will so and prove on the field this fall, that we are a force to wary of. ESPN will be eating alot of corw this fall as they give us our just props.
