Probably dating myself, but when I was a kid they used to have an Indian chief who beat a war drum to fire up the crowd at the basketball games. Later it switched to a shoe then the bird.

The reason is because it was a blessing in disguise. It devastated the cotton crop so they were forced to try to grow something else. Planted peanuts and soon discovered they made more profit growing peanuts in the cotton fields.

He's not very good to begin with. Scored less then 7 points and 5 boards at Florida Gulf Coast. Not a big loss and not sure why he had any hype from our fans.

Go to a 4 guard/small forward lineup like VCU. Derek Reese will be a manageable 4 and we have lengthy 2-3 guards. Obviously we're in deep doo doo at Center.

Your last sentence is exactly why McKnight was important, he's our only frontcourt player over 200lbs, he would've played a lot.

Kinda sucks when you have to go against WCS, Dakari Johnson, Lyles, and Towns...at least we have them at TBA this year.

Make no mistake, we could of really used McKnight. This team needed his senior leadership, plus everyone of those 7 points and 5 rebounds he could of provided us. It's not like we are stacked deep with experienced post players either.
