Eric Berry (The best weve ever had in the secondary)

I know this is a thread based on an opinion but I believe that Eric Berry could possibly be the best we have ever had in the secondary. I know he is just a freshman, but everytime the ball is in the air I have a feeling that Berry is gonna be there to pick it off.

Pretty soon if not already, teams will know where hes at before they throw in that direction.

As of this past weekend E.B. has become my current favorite Vol player.

I think he deserves a better nickname. I think we should have all of the secondary jersey numbers add up to 51. Then we could call it area 51. You come in but you dont come out.

Well since we're being hypothetical....I think this entire secondary could end up being top 3 that we've ever had...

Think about Berry at FS, Willingham at SS, Vinson and Johnson at CB...I think the potential is there for a shut down secondary with no real weak link

These guys are so young. I cant wait to see how good they get. Add that all together with the Linebackers and that secondary will be very stingy. We just need to put some pounds at tackle and speed at DE

I think the potential is there as well would love to see it happen Berry is gonna be a great defensive leader in years to come

Eric Berry has been my Favorite player since the beginning of the year.

What I find funny is if you look at the up coming talent it's hard not to start looking ahead of a National Championship Team in the Very near future.

This secondary is going to be good but I'll wait on best ever type comments for now. This is the secondary that let one reciever and and John Parker Wilson throw all over them.

Wow.

I don't wanna be a downer, but great secondaries don't win championships. The 7 guys in front of them do.

Dale Carter, Deon Grant, Jason Allen etc. He's had a few good games and has lots of potential, but let's not lose our minds.

Best ever is hard to assess. He is just a freshman. Guys like Dale Carter, Terry McDaniel, Terry Fair, Deon Grant come to mind, just since I've been following the Vols. He has potential for sure.

Terry McDaniel was the man by the way. If there was a corner that could shut down Jerry Rice, it was him.
