Eric Berry Says He Should Be No. 1

Man some people are really hatin' on E-Berry underneth that article. I didn't think he was being arrogant at all, he was just answering the questions that he was asked. And so what if he thinks he is the best player in the draft, it's called marketing. The NFL is a business and it's his job to do what he can to get drafted as high as possible. He has the numbers to back up his claim as being one of the best in the draft.

What was he supposed to say? Oh I'm good at 5? Or maybe be like the rent-a-car place and say "I'm #2 because I try harder!" If he doesn't believe in himself then why should anyone else?

I believe him! EB is going to be a player for many years to come, a smart GM/Coach will pull the trigger and reap the benefits.

Myron Rolle and Taylor Mays are the top safteys, though teams will be some what scared if you will, to take a chance on Rolle having been out for a year because of the Rhodes Scholarship.

Your judge of talent is on par with your ability to have a quality post.

Can't say I'm surprised that a clown like yourself has the mental capacity of a jar of mayonnaise.

HAHAHA.. I can understand that you don't like Tennessee because you're a band wagon Tide fan but to say that Rolle and Mays are better safties than E.Berry is just insane. Neither of the two had the numbers that Berry had in his college career and teams didn't even look at Berry, let alone throw towards him this past year. Quit hatin' on Tennessee, Berry is the best safty in the draft, followed by Earl Thomas.

If football games were conducted in a classroom or in a straight line... yes.

And yet you loved the 2 of them when they were here.

Hey everybody step on the Lane Train!:)

Yeah I know right? Even though that had nothing to do with my point, but whatever.

Back to my point...I mean EB will be decent, he's no John Parker Wilson, but who is?

Also, just to help you out a little bit Casey...I believe it's spelled safeties.

Are you sure you know what a Rhodes Scholar is?

I HATE what Monte did with Berry on defense. I honestly think it hurt his draft stock more than it helped it. EB is a cover defender that can COME UP and make plays. He isn't a linebacker that can DROP BACK and make plays. His interceptions suffered, and Monte cost him an NCAA record if you ask me.

In Alabama a "Roads Scholar" is a prostitute who finished 2nd Grade.

I can see that side of it but I think Monte used him the right way. He showed off his ability to play up in the box and with our depth, or lack of, at LB we needed that extra help in the box. I do wish he would have been able to get the record though.

Honestly, and call me out if you think otherwise, but I think it will help him in the long run. Now he can cover the run and the pass with close to perfection.

Granted, he won't be drafted with the prestige of....

Mark Anderson
Antoine Caldwell
Glen Coffee
Brodie Croyle
Kenneth Darby
Wallace Gilberry
Roman Harper
Jarret Johnson
Rashad Johnson
Evan Matthis
Justin Smiley
John Parker Wilson
Anthony Bryant
Bobby Greenwood
Kareem Jackson
Terrence Cody
Rolando McClain

Oh wait, that's right, he will be.

If I was eric berry I would not want any part of the top 5 and possibly top 10. Id never wanna play for the raiders, browns, bengals, lions, or chiefs.
