nice to see him get some more props. ESPN did a Heisman preview and they mentioned that if a defensive player were to win this year it would be Brandon Spikes.

I too thought that EB would get some exposure on the Heisman show, I should have known it was Spikes I mean who else would FSPN have?

I don't know if Berry can win it this year with all the QB's returning... but next year if he stayed he'd have a lot better chance.

Look for the game against FL, his stats in that game might determine if he has a legitimate shot at the Heisman.

My first thought when I saw that photo, is WHY would anyone want a black TN uniform. That photo IS Tennessee--period.

I don't want to turn this thread into a fashion thread. There's already one of those on here. But seeing the ORANGE jersey in the lights of Neyland stirs something in me that a black uni could never do.

It stirred so much that it's now my avatar.

With the anti-UT sentiment at ABC/ESPN, Berry will not have a shot at the heisman.

unfortunately reading the article showed that, as a defender, the highest he can hope for is about 4th as far as the heisman voting goes...unless he ends up returning kicks for TDs ala woodson

Brandon Spikes? That's stupid. He wouldn't be a top 5 SEC linebacker of the past 10 years.

I just looked at the "top contenders" and EB isn't even on there. I think that's crapola considering that BALL STATE'S RB is on there? WTF?

Why? Berry plays for a team that the world expects to be 7-5 and to lose to UF by 40. That's not Heisman campaign material.

The Big 12 will stack the votes again and give the heisman to either bradford or mccoy.

In his career, Woodson had exactly six touchdowns. None were on defense and only one was on special teams.

If we look at Woodson's 1997 season, here's what we see.
5 carries for 41 yards
12 catches for 238 yards
0 kickoff returns
36 punt returns for 301 yards
47 tackles
5 tackles for loss (1 sack)
8 interceptions
9 PBUs
580 total yards
4 total TDs

Compare this to Champ Bailey in 1998
16 carries for 84 yards
47 catches for 744 yards
12 kickoff returns for 261 yards
4 punt returns for 49 yards

that kinda though still just furthers the idea about berry probably finishing no better than 4th in the heisman voting at best based on history
