Eric Berry commits to Tn

If accurate, that's a good job by the staff of closing the deal on an elite player you had to get. With James Berry having played at UT and openly supporting the Vols in this recruitment, it would have really been a shot to recruiting to fail in procuring Eric's enrollment in Knoxville.

I am glad we have a good procurement department.

deserve a ton of credit. Don't know if this has already been posted or not, but apparently, the entire staff showed up at Berry's house and this impressed him very much. Exciting stuff!

i just listened to his audio interview with brent hubbs and he said he's 100% vol about 3 or 4 times. He's canceled all his other visits because he said he's not playing around. He even went as far to say to all those other prospects that are on the fence about tennessee, to go ahead and become a vol. good news.

NOTHING'S OFFICIAL until they fax a LIO in February.

The verbal commitment might be, but Berry is the type of player to say one thing, and do another. (Not that that is "wrong" per say, just the way he appears to be handling things.)

Phil and staff learned their lesson with Warren last year. Verbals in December are JUST that.

dude shutup... you dont even know berry.. your acting like you eat lunch with him. you dont know what kind of person he is!!

I have NEVER said I knew Berry.

I said Phil and the staff are more cautious after last year's signing day nightmare and that nothing is official until the LOI is faxed in.

Frickin' negavol.

that was quite chuckle-inducing, good one. :)

Weird thing is Square is only one being a pessimist in this thread. You ok buddy?

Good news though, makes me hopeful for the future...I'm ready to win some championships!
