How do we end the "woo"?

I guess I'm old school, but when we sang Rocky Top years ago we ended it with a baritone Tennessee.

Now we have this girlish "woo" and I'm sick over it.
Let's get back to Tennessee football being a mans game.

If we didn't have the "woo", overall noise and participation would decrease. The majority of people I see always yell "woo" and give an arm pump even if they weren't participating in the rest of the song with singing and clapping.

Everyone I was with at the game last week would only do the 'woo.' THAT made me sick. I can live with the woo, but you have to sing the rest. And, what is up with not singing 'Rocky Top Tennessee' after the woo?

I noticed the woo around 2000, did it start before then?
