My boss, who is a Clemson guy, pulled this post off of a Tiger message board. I think it purely propaganda, but I wanted your thoughts. After all, coaches are just human as the rest of us.

This is per an ex-player allegedly:

(1) In private meetings, 1 of which I attended, Mike Hamilton admitted that the basic accusations of the Super Bowl party were true.

(2) Coaches have equipment managers ice beer down for their consumption in the public areas of the complex after practice. Remember: 1 of the coaches has a DUI, 1 is an admitted alcoholic/addict and another is the son of a convicted drug dealer.

(3) Cutting walk-ons after they paid their fees for the spring semester - and couldn't get a refund and attend another school.

(4) One of the coaches is regularly seen at an apartment of a known Knoxville drug dealer.

(5) The secretaries who were described as "not being able to keep up" in January provoked Lane and Assistant head Coach Ed Orgeron because they were not comfortable hearing the words g***amn and m*f***er every 30 seconds.

(6) Lane uses the student managers (driving UT vehicles) as his own personal designated driver service. Before Layla got to Knoxville , he often used this service to get him to his favorite watering holes.

Someone should ask Lane where he spent the evening after the lettermen's party at Ray Hand's house - after leaving OCI with the daughter of ... (out of respect for the father of this girl, I won't finish the sentence.)

(7) Kiffin had to be reprimanded by Hamilton for drinking with college students at Hannah's and OCI. (Again, before Layla came to town.)

(8) Assistant Head Coach Ed Orgeron has instructed staff members that he doesn't give a darn about their families. They should get somebody to raise their children for them, because their life belongs to him.

(9) Throughout the spring, world's oldest GA Mitch Browning didn't review install packages with his players. He would give them pages from a playbook, accompanied with "I don't know why we're doing this; it's stupid and won't work." It really installed confidence in the players.

(10) After his first week on the job, Eddie Gran described the personal lives and habits of his new co-workers to a friend still on the support staff at Auburn "one thing I can tell you about the guys I work with: haven't any of them found the Lord."

(11) The physicians are no longer the final decision-maker of the health care of the student athlete. If a doctor says that a player should be held out of contact or certain types of activities, the coaching staff regularly overrules these decisions. I know that Mark Smith and Assistant Head Coach Ed Orgeron have butted heads over this many times. Athletic trainer Jason McVeigh has been threatened with his job if he objects to Orgeron's medical decisions.

I figured as much. Kiffin is turning into a Paul Bunyan type character, only it is all negative. I just think it is odd that a Clemson fan is worried about us.

I wish all of these things were true. If these were my coaches, I would play for them in a heartbeat. Work hard, play hard.

I guess that puts the "Do they cuss" argument to rest

I'm trying to figure out though what the problem would be for the managers being coaches' DD.

That seems like that would be on the positive side to me.

This is the biggest load of horse crap I have read so far. Why in the heck are Clemson fans worried about Kiffin? Could it be that in the next two years, they won't be battling South Carolina for top recruits in their state? I could understand if these rumors were about Pearl , but if all this is happening, how would they have had time to put together this coaching staff, and a top ten recruiting class in 2 months time?

1) I don't know what the Super Bowl party rumors are. I assume this has something to do with infidelity and Coach Kiffin. If that is such common knowledge, do you think that Layla would not be opening up a salon next to Pearl 's ex-wife called Alimony Squared?

2) If your over 21 it isn't illegal to consume alcohol, but I seriously doubt this. If you have ever read Meat Market, which I have, you understand that Orgeron's behavior would be front page news in Knoxville . I assume that is the coach referred to in this statement. Regardless of the football team, this is still the Bible belt. I love how people constantly bring up something from ten years ago, as if you have not had time to learn from your mistakes.

3) Again I don't see them cutting walk-ons like this. Why would we tell Tajh Boyd to go somewhere else like a crap hole of a university that he decided to sign with. He told Petty that he would not start in the SEC. QB is our biggest need and he told these guys that they would not start for him. This also seems like a university policy issue with when student athletes are eligible to withdraw from the university.

4) This is outright a load of crap. To this point they have booted 10 players for academic issues to failed drug test, so I am sure coaches are going to see drug dealers.

5) This would not surprise me if it was true.

6) Since Kiffin is the most high profile guy in town, I think it would be common public knowledge if he had a favorite bar to hang out at. About 2000 people showed up at Texas Roadhouse for his Vol Calls interview and autograph signing. And if I was a student manager, I would jump at the chance to drive his butt anywhere he wanted to go. What's that coach, You want to drive through downtown Baghdad ? Ok.

7) This would have been front page news. The chief sports writer for the Knoxville News Sentinel is a LSU homer. 2/3 of the writers on staff are still sucking off Fulmer.

8) Again, read Meat Market. This is a complete contradiction to everything Feldman reported in his book. His players and their families loved him at Ole Miss. Even the recruits that didn't go to Ole Miss had great things to say about him. You have to read Jerrell Powes comments that he was upset that Orgeron was fired, because Orgeron spent two years riding his but to get him academically qualified. Or read about Oher.

9) USC's offense really sucked under Kiffin didn't it? They only won two national titles. Oakland 's offense had greatly improved in the year and a half that he was there. Of course all that can be refuted by common sense and statistics. But I guess since most people from South Carolina are not intelligent enough to carry on a conversation or read. Why should facts matter? Off course that attitude is how we ended up with Obama, but that is another topic.

10) Again, this could be true. I don't buy it after reading the articles the News Sentinel has done on individual coaches.

11) Mark Smith is the strength coach. He has nothing to do with rehab, at least in the early stages. Jason McVeigh would be the one rehabbing the injuries. If it is a serious injury then there would be a Doctor involved writing the orders. Given the high costs of malpractice insurance, and the fact that a lot of these kids think they are the next best thing since slice bread, I seriously doubt that these Doctors want a liability suit filed against them. From what I understand the problem with Mark Smith is the clash of egos. If my boss advised me to do something, I don't think I would argue with him repeatedly. If there was a philosophical difference in how to do things, I would pack my bags and go find another job. I would not sit around waiting to get fired so I could draw unemployment. If your that good, then you don't worry about job security, but then again there is a history of job changes every two to three years.

Why would one of our ex players be talking to someone from Clemson in the first place? Just don't buy into the BS. Kiffin is a lightning rod, which is exactly what he wants to be right now. Please forward this to your boss........lol.

You spent far too much time fretting over this...

I agree.

If these are indeed false as they appear to be, those posting them WANT you to disect their points piece-by-piece and get uber-defensive. You should view this as a compliment. Instead of worrying about their own program(s) they still want to talk about the University of Tennessee.

Poster's name wouldn't happen to be Tajh Boyd, would it? Hmmm.

I remember a photo posted on here about 6 weeks or so ago that showed Kiffin hanging out with some folks next to what looked like a keg or a bar or something, including some young women. Photos like that are either what gets these kinds of rumors started or just add fuel to the already existing fire. Either way, Kiffin ought to make an effort to avoid such situations for awhile.

He wanted the photos of him standing next to Mike Tomlin to get out. I am certain of it. Plus it was a Dixie cup. You never know what could be in a Dixie cup.
