Ellix Wilson Injured

What's the over/under for # of starters being injured this year?
Usually its the thinnest position i.e. DT or CB.

Wouldn't be surprised if its Hardesty or Fisher, they seem prone.

Fisher says he is 100% now and his shoulder is fully healed.

Hardesty has a little nag.

We are extremely fortunate(knock on wood) to be this healthy right now. Here is our complete list of injuries:
Ryan Karl-back(should be back by Cal)
Ellix Wilson-knee(a couple of weeks)
Michael Frogg-virus(day to day)
Montario Hardesty-hamstring(limited contact, will be ready for Saturday scrimmage)
Kenny O'Neal-hamstring(limited contact, will be ready for Saturday scrimmage)

At this point, we usually have double that, at least. I expect all of these to be ready for Cal. Coker is the biggest ? and he could be back in less than a week if he gets things straightened out.

Most of the injuries happen when the contact starts

No, actually, there is usually more from postseason surgeries and lingering injuries. There are usually a couple injuries from contact, but not a ton. The ones that you usually see are just flare ups from a previous injury. We have been through 3 practices and this has been the only one(knock on wood).

MCL is almost always contact-related. That said, even with a complete tear, it's easily compensated for with a brace.

A complete tear is normally a 3-5 week injury.

That really doesn't sound bad at all, we have been very fortunate so far injury wise.

those post season surgeries were a result of contact in games in practice last season. we'll see what happens this year when the scrimmages start.

We still have 3 weeks of practice. Lets not count our chickens before they hatch. But I'm knocking on wood feverishly.

can somebody tell me what Coker did? I thought it was pot related, but if HV says he'll be back in a week it cant be that.

If it is weed related... then it could be as simple as Coker having to pass his next drug test which depending on how much and frequently he was smoking could be a week to a month:dunno:

I didn't say he would be back in a week. I said he could be back in a week. It depends on his attitude and how he cooperates with the counseling and such.
