Electoral Map Polls Shifting

Well, what the Obama campaign can take from this is that he is probably going to end up winning Michigan, Minnesota and New Hampshire, which leaves him with 11 EVs he has to catch elsewhere (assuming the map stays pretty much the same, which it should).

That leaves him with a lot of room to work. He needs to figure out a way to lock down Colorado. He was polling ahead in every poll taken there until last week, but some of McCain's comments about the state's water supply may reverse that quickly.

I am concerned with Indiana where Obama was polliing ahead consistently until the last few weeks as well. McCain has caught up in the state even though he is being outspent.

When it comes down to it, I am just going to go ahead and predict that this race comes down to Colorado, New Mexico, and Nevada.

If we are to believe polls, the most telling point of this is that Obama is losing ground. He previously held the lead in many of the toss states that had gone red in the last 2 elections. If this is a blip, then there's no problem. If this is a trend, it suggest that Obama is losing his grip on the presidency.
