Any new news on him? All I remember is him interviewing a while back and everyone thinking it was a done deal.

I think he would be better than Drayton. It's funny that Drayton has no offers from other teams like Scott and other guys.

Kiffin may be keeping Drayton because he likes him or because Gonzales likes him. Kiffin knows what he's doing. I have a feeling we're going to have Gonzales and Drayton after the NCG, or we're going to have Gran and Trooper.

Is the Trooper talk just people wishing we had him back? Because I haven't seen anywhere that Kiffin a) wants him or b) he wants to come back and take on a lesser title.

He is a co OC now and Auburn wants him as OC. Why would he want to come here as a WR's coach.

He is basically a glorified WR coach now. He doesn't call any plays..

And Malzahn is the OC at Auburn.

Trooper, I'm sure would like to be a part of all this, but the truth is, he isn't in the same league as the coaches we have now.

Better chance of making it to the NFL: Okie State or working with these guys at UT? I could see why he would come back.

Drayton is Kiffin's B!&CH. He is the "driver" Monte was talking about in the presser.

Since the hiring process for assistant coaches has begun, gran has been one of the names mentioned that I've thought would be a solid hire. On the radio today, Chris low says he thinks Gran will be kiffin's next hire.

he has a track record which is more than I can say for stan not the man drayton...

Just got a text that said that Gran is almost a done deal...

And to expect it to break sometime today or tomorrow.

Me too...someone will have to let me know what his expert analysis is though...I can't bring myself to take him off my ignore list.

In all honesty I have called some people I know and no one else has heard...but I do trust the guy who text me. He is adamant his "source" said it will happen.

Who knows...after tomorrow... I'll know about his cred...one way or the other.
