My view on Trump is that he was basically a useful fool. I voted for him the second time but not the first because he actually governed more conservatively than I anticipated in some aspects. This is one of the specific areas and it was highly influenced by Rand Paul.

I realized I hadn’t heard anything about it (which means it was a success otherwise the left would’ve brought it up more). So I thought I’d look into and found a decent article regarding two recent studies on the matter.

OZs are fairly similar to the New Market Tax Credits, which have been around for decades.

Both programs have good intentions but have WAY too much red tape and bureaucracy to be overly beneficial....

Trump's weaknesses are manifest but he is not in any way a fool. That said, I think of him more as a useful tool, a very blunt instrument where a sharp knife was preferred but unavailable. As it is, he bludgeoned his way through his term in office doing some truly wonderful things. I figured he would be good for business but was stunned his effect on other fronts, including foreign policy. It is such an utter shame that his personal weaknesses kept and keep him from being the leader he could have been.

Trump is the quintessential pre-9/11 New Yorker. The stereotypical 80's and 90's New Yorkers were to the point (rude), ostentatious and VERY opinionated. After 9/11 New Yorkers seemed to chill out and they lost a lot of their stereotypical attributes, but Donald Trump did not. Trump is not a politician and does very poorly in some (ok, maybe most) aspects of the political arena. His policies, on the other hand, are exactly what this country needs. The problem is Trump also needs a muzzle. His braggadociosness and embellishments do not fit well on the national stage. Add to the equation that the leftist knew two terms of him would destroy their goals and set the country up for a level of prosperity unseen for decades. Everything and anything was (and still is being) thrown at him to keep Americans from learning we do not need a leftist government daddy. I can see how many people sincerely dislike the manner in which he operates; however, the products that come from his policies are exactly what we need. I have seen no one since Regan willing to buck the system the same way for the good of the American people. This is why the left must take him out.

Sorry, I never hit on the zones. Really good idea.
