Eat right, Run..bike..work out..swim..yoga..and die anyway. What’s your health and workout plan

I’ve been sidelined again. Sunday morning went to an advanced heated power yoga class. No problem. That afternoon I had an event where I got light headed every time I stood up. My pulse was in the 40s and stuck in an irregular rhythm. The Ginger is a retired Catalan nurse and was able to help me break the rhythm without having to go to the hospital.
Not I’m not allowed to run or yoga, or even work out till I see the cardiologist Wednesday.
I have a condition known as athletes heart. My left ventricle is 20% larger than normal and my ejection fraction is 45 at rest. Normal would be 55-75 my resting pulse rate is typically 55. We’ve been keeping an eye on this since it was discovered in my 40s. It’s believed that I’ve had this since childhood when I was an all American swimmer.
The rhythm problem is new but not unexpected. My mother who is 83 and still works full time as an executive has this condition and has had several ablations over the years. She still works out 3-4 times a week. I’m sure I’m getting ready for my first ablation. Pretty confident I’m going to be fine. But the point is going to your Dr regularly should be part of your overall health plan.

If I’m dying I’ll let you know

And just when my knee has recovered enough to pick running back up.
🤞

I only understood about half of that but what I did understand is heart issues and I know that can be serious. Hope everything works out ok. Hopefully you can get things straightened out and back to being active whatever that looks like

Yesterday's workout. I added back in the shrugs and split squats as a test but still left out squats. I still think I'm going to have to leave them out for a while to save my lower back.

Complete Bull ****!!
The cardiologist has banned me from running and heated vinyasa classes till April 8th when they can do a CTA.

You have one symptomatic event and suddenly everyone freaks the **** out.

I’m allowed to walk and do some moderate yoga from the house.

Breath. At least the CTA is April 8 rather than May 8.

Hate it for you. Hopefully you are able to get back to it sooner rather than later.
