East Tennessee Weather II

I just saw where East Tn has a pending Torcon of 4 but the local forecasts here near upper NE Tn doesn’t have unfavorable forecasts until Saturday. Anyone up on the current situation regarding severe weather in the next few days. When they state East Tn they could be referring to an area that is several hours away from my location here near Bristol Tn.

The anniversary of the Super Outbreak on April 27, 2011 is tomorrow. What does everyone remember about that day?

I will never forget how fierce and intense those storms that came through East TN were that night. I have never seen storms like that and hope never to again.

I will never forget how fierce and intense those storms that came through East TN were that night. I have never seen storms like that and hope never to again.

The biggest thing that sticks in my memory was how much the emergency alert system went off that day and night. It felt like there was a new tornado warning every 5-10 minutes. There was so much ping pong ball size hail at my house that it looked like there was a couple inches of snow on the ground. The fact that there was over 50 tornadoes in east TN that day is just mind boggling.

The areas of extreme NE MS that had no activity with multiple high risk days a few weeks back is getting blasted by a large tornado tonight (although there was no/marginal risk in these areas just a few hours ago). Looks like the SPC blew it today in MS.
