* At 148 PM EDT, trained weather spotters reported heavy rain across
the warned area. Several inches of rain have fallen. Flash
flooding is expected to begin shortly.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Chattanooga, Cleveland, Dayton, Soddy-Daisy, Lakesite, Harrison,
Hillsview, Hopewell, Harrison Bay State Park, Big Spring, Middle
Valley, Birchwood, Shady Grove, Sale Creek, Falling Water and
Mowbray Mountain.
 
November is setting up to be a quite chilly one with a couple of shots at seeing snow. Not saying we will see several inches but we will see some flakes flying around. This winter is setting up nicely for the South.

~Severe Weather Alert~

There is an enhanced risk for Severe Thunderstorms for West and Middle TN (Parts of the Plateau including Fentress County is included), Slight risk for the rest of the Plateau, Central and Southern Valleys . Marginal risk for the foothills and mountains.

Timing:

Late Monday night into Tuesday morning.

Primary threats:

West and Middle TN = Damaging winds in excess of 70 mph and a few tornadoes are possible. A Strong Tornado (EF2-F3) can't be ruled out.

East TN = Damaging winds in excess of 60 mph and an isolated tornado or 2 are possible.

November 11-20th looks like we may see some flakes flying around.


Severe weather looks to be develpoimg rapidly. Tornadoes and strong winds can't be ruled out. Stay alert
 
How bad is tonight shaping up to be?

The primary threat will be damaging winds. Minimal risk of large hail. There is always the chance of a spin up tornado inside squall lines.

Farther West into Middle Tennessee and NAlabama will definitely be hit the hardest.

We what’s left in Durham somewhere around 2-4 tomorrow. Saying some could be Severe. I have my doubts.

At 159 AM CST, a confirmed tornado was located 9 miles northwest of
Dunlap, moving northeast at 55 mph.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage
to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is
likely.

Pikeville around 220 AM CST.

Other locations impacted by this tornadic thunderstorm include
Brayton, Palio, Fall Creek Falls State Park, Mount Crest, Cagle and
Old Cumberland.

To repeat, a tornado is on the ground. TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a
basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy
building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a mobile home, or in
a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter and protect
yourself from flying debris.
