Bad tornado tore through near London, KY last night. WBIR reports 9 people are dead and many more injured.

The overhyping he does sometimes does more harm than good. Events like last night he saved lives. The Paducah and Jackson KY NWS screwed up royally. (Clearly if you fire/cut the evening/night shift during a high end Dixie Alley nocturnal event that's bound to happen)

Northeastern Rhea County in east Tennessee...
Roane County in east Tennessee...

* Until 945 PM EDT.

* At 845 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a
tornado was located 10 miles southeast of Crossville, moving east
at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Tornado and half dollar size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.
Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree
damage is likely.

* This dangerous storm will be near...
Rockwood around 900 PM EDT.
Midtown around 910 PM EDT.
Kingston around 915 PM EDT.
Oak Ridge around 925 PM EDT.

Other locations impacted by this tornadic thunderstorm include
Coalfield, Oakdale, Harriman, Eagle Furnace, Pine Orchard, and
Dearmond.
