East Tennessee Weather II

In Baton Rouge we have about 5 in. wet snow and still coming down hard, about an inch an hr and predicted to fall another 2-3 hrs. Temps in upper 20s, down to low teens tomorrow!

Edit. Looks like snow has finally quit, leaving us with about 7 inches!

Many schools are closing due to the cold tomorrow. TVA is also asking people to conserve power. However, some districts like Hamblen and Knox have not made a decision on school. A few districts are on a delay.

I’d guess Knox would’ve already called it if they were going to do so. Nothing new will be happening between now and the morning that they don’t already know.

I have family in Houston (5 inches) and Gulf Shores (9 inches so far). This storm in unreal. I doubt they’ve seen that much snow in those places. If they have it’s been a very long time.

Happy Sunday fellow weather nerds! Are we done with snow this Winter? I’d be good with that this year. I do like snow but I’m ready for consistent warm temps. Today was fantastic!

Think East TN could be the battle ground for snow storms.

I don’t know what the depth is on the blue section but it looks like East TN doesn’t get out of the dark blue on that model. I’m guessing that’s like 3-4 inches so that would be a solid snow for sure but nothing like last year of course and I’m ok with that.
