Wicked windstorm passed through Kingsport a bit after 3 PM. Distant thunder, no rain (yet.) I could hear limbs cracking in the woods. NOAA said gusts up to 20 mph (I think it was more than that) and 85 degrees; thank you, bc my Mom's heat pump went out today, bless her. We've been into triple digits on heat index lately.

Y'all want to talk about Fiona? What a BEAST. She is not slowing down at all. This girl is dangerous. If she can, she will. Just upgraded to cat2 status and nights do not slow her down. She is in unplayed with waters and very happy. I know she is SUPPOSED to be a fish storm, but the surface winds indicate there is a (very small) chance she tucks up under that, and winds up around the Bahamas or something. Just, don't underestimate this one.
