Forgive me for further contributing to the clutter in this forum, but I have put together a makeshift "wish list" for our class of 2012. This is not by any means a prediction thread, but an "I want these guys to come play for Tennessee" thread.

Based on needs, I think that we will need 1 quarterback, 2 running backs, 2 wide receivers, 2 tight ends, 5 offensive linemen (2 OTs, 2 OGs, and 1 center), 3 defensive ends, 3 defensive tackles, 3 linebackers (2 OLBs and a MLB), 2 cornerbacks, and 3 safeties. All of these, I should add, include prospects classified as athletes. Here they are:

OFFENSE
QB: Gunner Kiel
RB: Brian Kimbrow and Davante' Bourque
WR: Drae Bowles and JaQuay Williams
TE: Eli Harold and Dillon Gordon
OL: Ben Still, Vadal Alexander, Austin Allen, Andrew Jelks, Cody Waldrop
DEFENSE:
DE: James Deloach, Jordan Jenkins, Caleb Azubike
DT: Danny O'Brien, Nick James, Vincent Valentine
LB: Kwon Alexander, Nick Dawson, Daniel Bostick
CB: Willie Carmichael, Geno Smith
S: Eric Striker, Trae Elston, Bam Bradley

Let me emphasize again that this is NOT a prediction, because obviously it is early and these kids have a whole year to get better and blow up. So with that said, this list will change periodically between now and National Signing Day 2012, which means that this thread is going to stick around a while.

Feel free to give your opinions and your feedback. I will be more than happy to discuss the matter with you. :hi:

QB: (1) Gunner Kiel
RB: (2) Brian Kimbrow, Matt Jones (Wouldn't be upset with Imoni Cross)
WR:(2) Drae Browles, Nate Cole
TE: (2) I have no idea on TE's yet.
OL: (3) Vadel Alexander, Cody Waldrop, John Theus

DT: (3) Eddie Goldman, Danny O'Brian, Johnathan Taylor
DE: (3) Jordan Jenkins, James Deloach, Gimel President
LB: (4) Kwon Alexander, (Other then that I don't have a real good feel at LB yet)
CB: (2) Geno Smith, Damian Lawry
S: (3) Eric Striker, Tre Elston, LaDarrell McNeil

I know some of these are unrealistic but i really did try to keep it *semi* realistic.

Don't see us taking 5 OL. I'd definitely take the under on that. Also I think we will get more than 2 WR. We just took 2 last year so we can't afford to land another small haul there. I'd take the under on the 3 S as well. I see 3-4 OL, at least 3 WR, and just 2 CB and 2 S at DB. Don't see us taking 7 or 8 DBs again. I know people are paranoid over our secondary, but Janzen and Brewer will be our starters at S again in 2011 IMO.

I saw where UT is a leader for Danny O'Brian. Does anyone have details?

Loves the weather and the area. Loves to fish and hunt. I'm pretty sure he came down unofficially last year at least once and he is coming down for JR. day.

He was here for camp in the summer and the Bama game.

We are at about 82 scholarships including 26 enrollees for 2011. And there are only eleven seniors, so our limit for 2012 will depend on attrition in the next 12 months or so.

Assuming worst case, both JJ & Brewer don't come back, we have 54 on scholarship. If we have 26 of last years commits make it in that gets us to 80 for this year. We have 11 Seniors that will bump us down to 69 at the end of this year, Which would allow us to sign 16 next year, if we lose 3 more then we could sign 19. I think at max we will sign 22 and I doubt it is even that high.

Article last week said we will only have about 15 enrollment slots next year. We will have to be very selective and have some good luck about getting our main targets.
