You should include the number of commitments to provide some context.

Seriously. No way in hell I'm trading our class for UVA, Illinois, Arizona, Ole Miss, and a few others.

Another thing to consider is that 3 of our commitments (Kendrick, Smith, Barnes) have not been rated by Rivals.

Recruiting ranking threads are right up there with "I just got my tickets" threads and "Here's a good article from Bleacher Report" threads.

I'm usually optimistic about recruiting, but no way we finish in the top 5 of the SEC....again....

Those who say our recruiting success up to this point does not matter feel this way:

:dance2::dance2: Boy, we're going to finish strong.:rock::rock:

Those who are worried about our recruiting class feel this way:

:eek:hmy::eek:hmy:: We're behind at the half. We've got a lot of scoring to do to catch up. :ermm::ermm:

I find it hard to be as optimistic as some of you, although I know the class will look a lot better in February than it does now.

Lol at wavol. He wakes up every morning so pissed about this. There is more to life than stressing about recruiting rankings

And you got the "Dooley is such a great evaluater of talent" people. Our facilities, tradition, fanbase, and stadium are enough to get a top 15 class. If we had an amazing recruiter we would have top 10 classes no question. My boys in the AD say that Dooley is a real ******* too.....

It's hot outside.

Think I'm going to mix up a pina colada and jump in the pool.

I mean it is July.

Cool story. How many people don't think their boss is an ahole

I don't. And not really the point. Most bosses aren't trying to recruit against the likes of Bama, LSU, and GA, and FL. Saban is reportedly a huge a hole too. But the many rings on his fingers blind a lot of people to that fact. Dooley only has a wedding ring.....not as appealing.

I don't care what kind of club it is, the fact is we have to keep up with the big boys in the SEC by reeling in top 10 classes. Dooley hasn't exactly impressed many people with his smug, d head style. I wish I liked him, I really do. But elite coaches do more with less, and win despite attrition and whatever else happens. And here it is year 3 and If anyone thinks we're going to march into a place we haven't won a game in 15 years and whip a decent team is drinkin too much dool-aid.

Your VN name pretty much sums up your apparent coping ability and outlook. Bye-bye :)

Stolen from VQ...

This time last year...

Deon Bonner was on no one's radar.
Davante Borque was committed to LSU (Just recently having switched from A&M)
We were tied with Miss. St and AU for Croom.
Alton Howard had us among 5 other schools for his top 6.
LaTroy Lewis was a ND lean.
Daniel McCullers was a Bama lean.
LaDarrell McNeil was favoring Oklahoma State.
Justin Meredith was committed to UNC.
Michigan was coming on strong for Danny O'Brien (and our own resident Michigan fan was calling him a Wolvie lock.)
We were losing ground with Cordarrelle Patterson.
Who is Nathan Peterman?
Trent Taylor was committed to Miami.

And Khalid Henderson, Otha Peters, and Immani Cross were all VFLs.
