just saw it. I'm surprised that he only got the 13 years prison time.

Surprised? Seems about right or even a bit too much considering what Leonard Little got off with. This wasn't a planned murder - but I've debated this pages and pages in another thread so not going to again.

Just think if he hadn't have left the scene. Maybe he could have proved he wasn't drinking and driving, and he wouldve gotten off with less atleast.

I think they had video tape of him enjoying the evening at a gentlemen's club prior to the accident.

It is a shame for Dewayne to be involved in something like that, he was a great Vol and played his a** off in the National Championship game. He definately got punished and also he has to live with what he did everyday for the rest of his life which is sometimes harder than jail time. He went from playing for the Cowboys to being a janitor in prison. One of the guys lived and is diabled for the rest of his life, he showed up in court and forgave Goodrich. Goodrich broke down and hugged the man, that was pretty emotional. Hope the future Vols can learn from some of the mistakes of the past Vols and quit ending up on the police blotter.

Yeah he admitted to the gentlemans club, but said that he only had 1 or 2 drinks and it had been hours so...

As much as I want that to happen, we all know it won't. The kids won't ever learn.

If his attorney gets him off somehow, will he still be eligible to play this season?

I doubt there would be too many teams interested. He's probably in his early 30s, hasn't played in years, and that E:60 piece called him a bust.

There was a really long, well written piece on Dwayne Goodrich that I read not too long ago. I really feel bad for all involved in his situation.
