I live in St. Louis. And while I am not a Rams fan, I hope they win most of the time. However, I can not and will not cheer for Leonard Little. As much as I want to cheer for him and tell people about how AWESOME he was while at UT, for some reason I am embarrassed by what he got away with. When he gets a sack, the place cheers wildly, I can't do it. I know we all make mistakes, but some mistakes are bigger and more devastating than others. I hope Dwayne turns things around and becomes a productive citizen.

it's obvious the remorse was real, but i just have a hard time believing he only had 4 drinks in a 7 hour time span while out at clubs and strip joints that evening.

and looking at his car, driving 10 miles and not knowing you hit more than some debris in the road way????

the first thing he does when he gets home after thinking he hit some debris is call his mother in tears?

i believe the greif and remorse. i believe he probably just did make a bad decision. but i also think he's in a little bit of denial as to the true extent of his responsibility as it pertains to his actions prior to and after the accident.

sad story all together, and i do wish him, and the vicitm's families the best with what has yet to come.

I thought the same thing. Its hard to believe he wasnt drunk or that he didnt know he hit anyone. just a sad story all around.

After watching, I really think he still doesn't accept responsibilty for his actions. I feel for both the victims as well as DG. But his attitude about the victims bothered me. It doesn't take but a second to totally destroy your life and the lives of others. Sad. But watching the guy forgive dewanye in court was moving. He was a hero along with the other two young men who lost their lives. Sad story.

this might be a classless thing to say, but if he was indeed drunk (which was never proved) he did the smart thing by fleeing the scene. I'll take my chances with hitting somebody and fleeing rather than hitting them and failing a breathalyzer

I can't disagree with you more, and I'd venture to say I might have to be restrained if something like that was ever said to me in person. 4 years ago I was hit by a drunk driver. I went through hell and back to recover from my injuries(several broken vertebrae, cracked scapula, lacerated spleen, etc), but was able to fully recover from them. The hell it put me and my family through was one thing, but doesn't even compare to what the families of the men DG hit. If you're dumb enough to get behind the wheel after you've been drinking, you could at least man up and accept what you've done, not run off in to the night like a d*mn coward.

DG's sentence was too light. Double hit/run homicide? 20 year sentence, minimum. He's lucky he was in Texas and not Tennessee I guess.

So many ex Vols... so many dead in their wake.

actually if you do the research, there was a quirk in Texas law. He was expected to get probation, but the lesser charge that he pleaded guilty to does not allow probation in Texas. Had he plead guilty to the more stringent charge, he would already be out of prison.

court records, including receipts from the establishment he left, indicate that he was sober.

Someone asked me this questions the other day, and instead of making a new thread I'll post it on here.

Say you had been out drinking, and had 4 beers just enough that your right on the legal limit. You get behind the wheel of your truck/car/mo ped. You hit a person on the side of the road and there is no one around. Do you stop, and help knowing you would go to jail if they die? Or Do you keep going, knowing they may not live, but you will never get caught.

I chose the first option, because Kharma is a bitch.
Option C, is to not drive drunk.

Apparently it's his first interview since the accident. The programs starts at 7pm on ESPN, but I don't know when they'll show his segment.

The Dallas Morning News did a piece on him with a full interview last fall. This is just a tragic story.

It still absolutely baffles me that people who have MILLIONS of dollars get behind the wheel and drive drunk. They said he was less than 20 miles from his house. $50.00 gets him home safe. I do not and never will feel sorry for Dwayne Goodrich and hope that the parole board does not let him out early, I don't care if he is a "model inmate"......he is an inmate for a reason.

wow this is indeed classless.... by saying that your telling me that if you TOOK SOMEONES LIFE that you not being imprisoned takes priority over the pain, suffering, and anguish those families had to go thru....

man think about it this way.... what if you were hit and killed and your mom had to deal with that tragedy......

you'd forgive the guy for running just because he didnt wanna spend time in jail
