I think it depends on the amount, too...I should have put that in there. There's a difference between a smokable amount for personal use and an amount that is deemed to be used for resale.

I'm no expert on this, so if I'm wrong, someone lemme know. I just think it's more of a circumstances kinda deal.

interesting article here...you were right it goes by the weight....but simple possession carries up to 11 months in jail and 2,500 dollar fine....

If Chill is battling T.S. for the starting job, that just makes us that much more dangerous. In his limited time, he did look extremely good in the summer RTL. Man I can't wait. So many weapons.

Seems odd that he is busted with pot on university grounds and just gets kicked off the team for a bit, but....if i get busted with pot in my house i can guarantee i will go to jail for a night and pay a fine...glad hes back, but can someone explain this to me??

No you won't. For the small amount they found, you would get some sort of citation and have to pay a fine. Plus, he wasn't even there when they searched his apartment.

For the record (and why the hell does it matter since he has been gone for 8 years? ), Jamal was arrested once on a misdemeanor shoplifting charge at an Atlanta mall in July of '97 just before arriving on campus prior to his freshman year....Not excusing it but college football players have done worse things after all - it's not like he got drunk and killed Tim Couch's friend or anything (Kentucky center Jason Watts in November of '98)

Yeah, they got rid of the beer barrell after that....the SEC Championship is ours to lose now....I am speaking about basketball of course.
