FOXNews.com - North Carolina Attorney General to Announce Results of Duke 'Rape' Case Today - Local News | News Articles | National News | US News

Colin Cowherd had a good comment:

"I wonder if Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton are going to fly to NC to apologize?"

That will happen when I start to crap lime sherbert.

Someone needs to apologize to these kids they were the victims of an overzealous media and prosecutor. I doubt the charges getting dropped gets the same 24/7 coverage that the story initially got.

The family told FOX News that they're poor and black, whereas the players and their families are "rich and white," and that the attorney general's office has looked upon the players as "golden boys."

I guess Nifong didn't get the memo about this one.

As hard as it is to say, as a Duke fan, this whole case should deter any potential recruits (in any sport) from signing on with Duke. The Athletic Department completely withdrew their support from these guys and left them hanging out to dry.

The media tried to paint the players as millionaires who burn money. One kid is from Long Island and his family makes $200,000/yr. That is not alot of money id Long Island, NY. It isn't poverty level but it sure ain't rich.

Yes - the Sharpton/Jackson types. If they have any comment about this, it will be claims of racism.

Yeah they claim to be the voice of the people. What people? Fellow millionaires who pander to the lowest common denominator?

Or people who seek media attention so they can instigate and keep themselves relevant?

This case made me sick. The media and the entire town of Durham gave up on those 3 kids and ruined their lives. The heat should be on the Duke Administration and action should be taken by the families. Good thing is that Nifong will be disbarred and never practice law again.

Attorney General says:

Completely innocent (not just dropping charge)

No-evidence that any attack occurred in the house - conclusion --- no attack occurred.

Very strong findings for the accused.

So now these families sue to recoup legal expenses incurred defending their kids against spurious charges?

One of you legal eagles tell me, can they win at such a thing?

I'm glad the case was finally dropped, but feel bad for the players who had and will still have to put up with it.

Here you go.

That stripper scarred those three players' lives forever, apparently just like Imus did those poor Rutgers players.
I think Imus should demand that Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson apologize to the young men who were charged.

I think Imus should demand that Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson apologize to the young men who were charged.

Honestly I would like to see that. It disturbs me to see those two point the fingers at those young men and accuse them of all this wrong doing and when we all find out that it was a big fluke and the girl just wanted the money, they hide with their tail tucked between their legs and don't do the right thing, which is to apoligize to these men. If this was a situation where a couple of African American males were accused of raping a white woman and they went through the same hell these men did only to find out that it was just a lie, those 2 would be fighting tooth and nail to get a some sort of an apology.

Jackson has done a lot of great things, but he also tends to stick his nose where it doesn't belong A LOT.

They are both Media whores who instigate for their own personal gain.

Not that I have strong feelings about it.

Name one. Jim Brown described Jackson perfectly on Dan Le Batard's show Tuesday. Jesse is a professional agitator and extortionist. Jim Brown does more work that actually benefits the African American community in a week that Jesse Jackson has done in his entire life.

So the question still stands -- Who foots the lawyer bill?

A lot of people are calling for Duke to shell out the $3 million.

Even though I am African American, I not the biggest fan of both Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton.
Not many people are.

To paraphrase our favorite blind, black white supremacist Clayton Bigsby, "Why are we at war with Al Queda when we're still losing the war with Al Sharpton?!"
