A PBR man can't be half bad especially since that was the beer of choice for my parents as I was growing up.

Had it. Still rather drink it than Natty light.

I've actually heard from more than a few people that Bud Light was rushed into production to keep up with Miller Lite and as a consequence it wasn't a very well conceived beer. Later, Budweiser came out with Natural Light, which had a lot more thought put into it. I have no idea whether or not any of that is true, but I don't really think Bud Light is any better than Natural Light.

I'm an unabashed beer snob, but I do have a soft spot for Pabst, probably because it was my grandfather's beer. There's a place here in Atlanta that offers $3 pitchers of PBR on Tuesday nights, and I try to take advantage of that deal a couple of times a year.

Why only a couple of times a year? Sounds like some people on here would be on that in no time flat, once a week.

As I said, I'm pretty much a beer snob, so I don't drink a lot of what the beer style guides call "American-style lager." I mostly drink Guinness and really hoppy IPAs. Occasionally, though -- usually on a brutally hot summer afternoon -- a pitcher of PBR can sound pretty appealing.

In fact, it sounds pretty appealing right now...

Went to the Brick Store Pub last night in Decatur. Had some Belgian wheat beer that was heavenly.

Evidently you've never had Milwaukee's Best. It makes Natty Light taste like candy.
Speaking of making something taste like candy, these are a few oldies and not so goodies that I recall from the discount cooler at Interstate Liquor on Hardeman/Georgia Ave. in MaconGa:

1. Schaefer
2. New Orleans Best
3. Red White & Blue
