I made a thread back last year about me starting to play for a Semi Pro team here in Alabama. Well my hard work is paying off. I have been accepted to University of South Alabama and I will be a on to the football team. The coach and I talked a few weeks ago and he said they would love to have me. I am 27 years old and will be pretty old lol but getting to play college football has always been my dream. The unique thing about all of this is I will get to travel up and play in Neyland. That is HUGE to me, getting to be on the field with the team I have loved my entire life. I can not wait until that day gets here I will be super Stoked. SO guys just wanted to share this with you. I will be wearing number 28 so look for me on that day, in the mean time I will be coming to the Orange and White game this weekend cause unfortunately I won't be able to come to any games during the regular season exept for when we strap up together haha

Huge congrats!

So, they gonna be cool with you wearing orange under your jersey?

Congrats! Not sure how I would feel standing on the opposite sidelines of the team I love. Of course depending on the position you play, you could always fumble if on offense, or miss a tackle if on defense. :D

Hopefully you'll have a lot of family and friends in the stands that will take a ton of pics so you can post them on here.

That's cool bro! U will have to fill us in on how the team is when u get on the field with em. U a db?

I play Fullback mainly. I will work with the LBs some during Summer and see what the depth looks like there. They are thin right now but a few freshman coming in

Congrats, you might want to keep celebrating on the D-L or your teammates aren't going to like it.

Congrats man, happy for you. That being said, I hope you get laid the **** out in Neyland and then go on to have a great season. :)

What if scenario: You are playing linebacker...UT down by 5 pts, 10 seconds left in the game.....UT has it 4th and 10 from the USA 17 yard line. Alden Hill breaks thru the line....you're the only one who has a chance to stop him. Alright Big Orange fan, what do you do. Do you take him out, or whiff on the tackle and blame it on watching too much Sal Sunseri defense?

Whatever position, give it your best shot. Play hard, play to win though I won't be rooting for that for obvious reasons. But play with honor, spirit, and all out effort. Anybody that as worked as hard as you and has the daring to not just get accepted but play college ball at age 27 deserves RESPECT. I hope you whip the odds and get drafted and have a very good NFL career as well.
