What was Stan Drayton's actual position at UF? Just RB coach? His bio on the team site doesn't say specifically.

I thought I remember seeing he was also their recruiting coordinator. :hmm:

'Fraid not. He was just the RB coach. He was listed by Rivals as one of the Nations top 25 recruiters in 2007.

We need to throw about $550,000 toward Gonzo. Being able to steal a few UF recruits a year would be worth it! There receivers seem pretty well developed too.

He was the RB coach at Florida,but if you want us to say he had a more distinguished title tell us what you want it to be and we will post it for you so you'll be happy.

Gonzales is not worth $550K. We will do fine in recruiting. Remember, Meyer is the best recruiter for UF.

But Florida's best recruiter will be another crystal ball.

Drayton was considered a good recruiter in 2007. Maybe he would have pulled in a few recruits this year if Fulmer had stayed. IMO, we should let him go and hire Gran. Gran was also a top 25 recruiter, a proven RB's coach, and he can coach ST's. As of now, we don't have anyone who can coach ST's, or anyone with experience in that area. Drayton does not impress as a RB coach. Our backs looked awful last year. All of his recruits decommitted this year.

Surely CMK knows something about STs and if he doesn't take a position he should have time to handle STs.

Drayton--the weak link on Lane K's staff---he's a good recruiter, but can't coach worth a lick.

I think it would be hard to to judge his abilities with everything that was happing last season, I mean with a new OC , Crompton trying to QB. Also I dont really thing the RB are that good.

Dont remember a great RB coming out of UF during the time he was RB coach there either though...
