Dr. Bob Overholt Passes Away At 85

I watched his show on "Live At Five" growing up.

He was on the football team at Tennessee.

Grew up in same church with him and his family. Loved his kids lessons b4 sermons as he had a gentle spirit and calming way with the wee ones. Prayers to his family ...

Genuinely good person - always brought a positive outlook and a generous spirit. He will be missed.

Dr. Bob was a fixture in Stokely Athletic Center, sitting behind the basket on the end of the floor adjacent to the visitors bench, always cheering on the Vols and when the zebras blew it or the other teams coach started wandering around on the floor, this towering giant rose from his seat and pleasantly but vocally reminded the refs how bad their eye sight really was and pointed the visiting coach back to their assigned seat, an incredible benefactor to so many worthy causes, institutions and schools in and around Knoxville and an even better person, a top shelf guy all the way around

Sorry to hear this. We were at Tennessee at the same time. Spent a lot of time in the gym with him and others. He served the Community very well during his life and will be greatly missed.
