Can't believe I'm hearing them talk about him in the past tense. Joe's voice breaking ..... killing me.

Have listened to Sport Talk since around 2004...had people tell me for years that I needed to listen to those guys. Dr. B was truly ENTERTAINING if nothing else!

I loved how he called the Bama folks "Tater-diggers!!" LOL! I remember when I heard him say that for the first time and it was truly hilarious.

But the B in his "handle" was for Basketball. Truth be told--the man was an IDIOT when it came to his knowledge of football. And it was common knowledge on the show that the surest way to pick a winner was to pick the opposite team Dr. B predicted to win....

And before you trash me--that was his tag line....he was FAMOUS for calling anyone and everyone an IDIOT on the air....and it was hilarious when he did it because he NEVER came across as being mean-spirited....just entertaining....

May he RIP....

GO VOLS!

Prayers for this man's family & friends. Never heard him on the radio or anywhere else but he's a human & more importantly a Vol. God Bless this family.

RIP Gary, loved by all. "Macho" man lives a mile from my house. Sad and shocking. Gary played golf with his wife on his last day, loved both, wife and golf. Someone mentioned him calling people idiots, he did on FB too, called Macho one all the time lol, all in good fun.

Anyone recall the bat signal? I can't say where he got some of his recruiting info.

Those of you who didn't understand the show need to be listening. It's available on iHeart.com.

SportTalk was sitting around shooting the sh!t with your buddies. That's how Doc made you feel listening to it.

The listeners who are calling in tell you what Gary Haskew meant to this town. It's unbelievable.
