Phil is so and so against so and so team. Hey Doug, look at the current decade. Doug is living in the 90's as well.

Why does every crackerjack journalist that says something about the Phil Fulmer saga get their own thread from people like you? Can we just make one thread "What journalists are saying" and be done with this?

simmer down. I said people like you. You've done it on quite a few occasions though, don't act like you haven't.

Matthews just cut a guy off for giving his opinion. That shows me right there that Matthews doesn't have any business on the radio. It's talk radio Matthews, let the guy talk. If you disagree then state you do and move on after his call. I used to like listening to you, now I see what a lot of people have told me is true about you.

I don't know about quite a few, I just try to get the info out there for people to look at. You on the other hand, are Mr. Gameday thread. :)

Matthews hung up on that Brandon dude because he calls in every week using fowel language and bashes the university. He didnt cut him off for his opinion, he cut him off because it's the same junk every Sunday from Brandon.

I hear plenty of that from other regular callers on other shows. I have never heard the other guys cut them off for their opinion. He used the word "Damn", I have heard that used by plenty of talk show hosts over the past 3 years.

Are you in the Nashville area? Mark Howard and George Plaster have a hairier trigger finger for cutting people off than Mathews ever thought. Mathews has been too patient with callers in the past in my opinion. There are times the listeners are wanting a caller to be cutoff.

Plaster downright trashes people on the Predators talk sessions.

Doug Mathews has consistently said that he thought the move needed to be made from a business stance, but he selfishly wished they would have given Fulmer one more year. That's about as unbiased as you can get considering the friendship between the two. I don't think you'd see many hosts make a statement such as that about their close friend.

Howard is very similar. They both trash people on most all of their shows if the callers do not share their opinions. I like both of them, but it's more of a like to dislike them sort of way. It's very similar to the way Dale Earnhardt was when he was alive.

I have always liked Doug, but he is wearing thin on me.
He knows from a business standpoint it is the right move to replace Phillip.
He is letting his emotions overcome his judgement.
He also realized he no longer has the cell phone # to the head football coach
of the University Of Tennessee.

After rambling for an hour, Doug Matthews really says nothing. I dont like listening to him and try not to if I can help it.

Doug needs to realize the decision has been made. He can argue it all he wants but nothing is going to change.
