Not to make this all about me, butt is it a coincidence that when I hung up my pole and stopped poleing our fan base this season that everything has gone to hell.

Because the boosters aren't paying the buyouts but you can't reason with anyone here. The facts are UT cannot have three (four if you count Fulmer) buyouts on the books at the same time. Cannot afford it. Doesn't matter how we got here or why. This is where we are.

Nope, the fact that we aren’t winning the east is a personnel problem: losing to Georgia State and getting clobbered by Vandy Missou and Ufbin our last three conference games is a mindset and culture problem.

I appreciate the endorsement but....it's not my personal opinion, it is a fact. All you have to do is file a FOI request and you can read all about it. Boosters have paid nothing for the previous buyouts and (adding my opinion now) I doubt they will this time either.

I doubt it too.

However I would not be shocked at all if this becomes Tennessee’s worst season ever. I will also be surprised if Tennessee wins 4 games (kind of the same but what the heck).

I have also previously stated if Tennessee could pull out 5 wins I would be back on board with Pruitt (for the time being) as that would mean improvement.......yet not something that can’t be done.

Ahh apparently I read your message wrong. It sounded like you were saying the boosters would refuse to contribute to a buyout of Pruitt. I see now you are saying that buyouts are not paid by boosters. My bad. One more reason to hire you when the time comes.

Boosters dont make contributions to the athletic dept?

I hope so, but not counting on it. On any given day any team can be beat, I tell you what would really make Pruitt look really bad, is start jg, and get down by 21to 0, then put in maurer and we get beat by 7.

This rebuild is similar to the one CJM had when he came back to UT in 1977.

Majors did not do too well his first couple of seasons but he was given the time to see his foundation laid and had a solid coaching career at UT.

"Poleing" the fan base must get tiring and I'm surprised so many living on the buckle of the Bible Belt are into that these days. Maybe starting up a new poll will reverse fortune for the Vols the rest of the season and I encourage you to do that.

It is what it is. We are where we are. The reality is that there are many here with a boyish idea about rebuilding Tennessee football. It took years to get here. It won’t be fast and it won’t be easy but Pruitt and staff are good people. His job is as secure as Satans BamaWriter.
