Doubt

Yea, I thought it was very good. I left the theater doubtful whether he did anything or not.

I thought it was a very very good movie. The acting in it was top shelf all around. I read on the internet where the only three people that know if he did it or not is the writer, Phillip Seymour Hoffman, and the guy who played that character in the play version. The director said he would get better acting if the other characters didnt really know either.

At the end of the movie, when Streep says, "Sister, oh sister! I have doubts!" And then started crying...

What doubts was she talking about?

Was she doubting her faith because she couldn't believe that the church and God would let a priest get away with molesting a child? (This is what I was thinking).

Was she doubting that he actually did it?

Was she doubting that her soul was safe since she lied and broke the "chain of command" and basically did things a nun wasn't supposed to do? (This is what my wife thought).

Just curious what people's take was.

And by the way...he did it...no question.

I think she was doubting that he did it.
I think it had more to do with her having doubts in her faith. She was angry after PSH's sermon on doubts but really that hit home for her and thats why it made her so angry. She never once gave any kind of a hint that she felt that he may have not done it.
